Unsaturated polyester resin is one of the most commonly used thermosetting resins with excellent process performance. It can be cured at room temperature and moulded under normal pressure, with flexible process performance, especially suitable for large-scale and on-site manufacturing of FRP products. After curing, the resin has good overall performance, the mechanical performance index is slightly lower than epoxy resin, but better than phenolic resin. Corrosion resistance, electrical properties and flame retardant by selecting the appropriate grade of resin to meet the requirements of the resin light colour, can be made into transparent products. There are many varieties, widely adapted, and the price is low.
