Fiberglass reinforced polypropylene products are modified plastic materials. Fiberglass reinforced polypropylene is generally a column of particles with a length of 12 mm or 25 mm and a diameter of about 3 mm. In these particles the fiberglass have the same length as the particles, the glass fibre content can vary from 20% to 70% and the colour of the particles can be matched to the customer's requirements. The particles are generally used in injection and moulding processes to produce structural or semi-structural parts for applications in automotive, construction, home appliances, power tools and many more.
Applications in the automotive industry: Front-end frames, body door modules, dashboard skeletons, cooling fans and frames, battery trays, etc., as a replacement for reinforced pa or metal materials.
