Superyachts with Carbon Fiber Flagpole Antenna Mounts

Carbon fiber antennas continue to provide superyacht owners with modern and configurable connectivity options.

Carbon Fiber Flagpole Antenna Mount

Shipbuilder Royal Huisman (Vollenhoven, The Netherlands) has chosen a composite flagpole antenna mount from BMComposites (Palma, Spain) for its 47-meter SY Nilaya superyacht. The luxury yacht consists of an aluminum hull, carbon fiber superstructure and teak deck.

The Flagpole Antenna Mount from BMComposites is customized for Starlink planar high-performance antennas, offering many benefits to superyacht owners. The mount is made from high-strength, pressure-cured carbon fiber, ensuring durability and optimal performance. Its design includes an internally-run lanyard and integrated composite mounting base, all of which can be customized to match the aesthetics of the yacht.

According to BMComposites, one of the flagpole’s outstanding features is its variable length, which can be adjusted between 1,500 mm and 3,000 mm, making it suitable for different yacht configurations. This flexibility, combined with the ability to connect at high speeds without interference, makes it ideal for modern superyachts.

“BMC designed and built the modern, sophisticated Starlink flagpole for SY Nilaya, which blends in with the aesthetics of the yacht,” emphasizes Jon van der Horst Bruyn, captain of SY Nilaya.
