The raw material for fiberglass cloth is old glass or glass balls, which are made in four steps: melting, drawing, winding and weaving. Each bundle of raw fibre is made up of many monofilaments, each just a few microns in diameter, the larger ones more than twenty microns. Fibreglass fabric is the base material of hand-laid FRP, it is a plain fabric, the main strength is dependent on the warp and weft direction of the fabric. If you need high strength in the warp or weft direction, you can weave fiberglass cloth into a unidirectional fabric.
Applications of Fibreglass Cloth
Many of them are used in the process of hand gluing, and in the industrial application, it is mainly used for fireproofing and heat insulation. Fiberglass cloth is mainly used in the following ways
1.In the transport industry, fiberglass cloth is used in buses, yachts, tankers, cars and so on.
2.In the construction industry, fiberglass cloth is used in kitchens, columns and beams, decorative panels, fences and so on.
3.In the petrochemical industry, the applications include pipelines, anti-corrosion materials, storage tanks, acid, alkali, organic solvents and so on.
4.in the machinery industry, the application of artificial teeth and artificial bones, aircraft structure, machine parts, etc..
5.daily life in the tennis racket, fishing rod, bow and arrow, swimming pools, bowling venues and so on.
