Carbon Fiber Biaxial Cloth

400 g/㎡ biaxial carbon fabric for high performance applications where high strength and low weight are required. Produced with two 200 g/m2 layers of unidirectional fabric, oriented at +45° and -45°. Suitable for manufacturing of composite parts and tools with epoxy, urethane-acrylate or vinyl ester resins by hand lay-up, infusion or RTM.

Product Application

Carbon Fiber Biaxial Cloth is a very versatile reinforcement and has a multitude of uses including:

  • Reinforcement in carbon fiber vehicle panels
  • Reinforcement in moulded carbon fibre parts, such as seats
  • Internal/backing layers for carbon fiber sheets (adds quasi-isotropic strength)
  • Reinforcement for carbon fibre moulds (for prepreg or high temperature moulds)
  • Reinforcement in sporting equipment eg. skis, snow boards etc.

Carbon fiber biaxial fabric is a fabric in which the fibres are arranged crosswise in two directions, which has good tensile and compressive properties and is widely used in various fields. Biaxial cloth has better performance in bending and compression than unidirectional cloth.

In the construction field, carbon fiber biaxial fabric is used to repair and strengthen building structures. Its high strength and lightweight properties make it an ideal material for reinforcing concrete structures and panels, increasing the load-bearing capacity of the structure and extending its service life.

In addition, carbon fiber biaxial fabric plays an important role in shipbuilding. Lightweight ship structure is the key factor to increase ship speed and reduce fuel consumption, the application of carbon fiber biaxial fabric can significantly reduce the dead weight of the ship and improve the sailing performance.

Product Storage and Transportation 

Unless otherwise specified, the carbon fiber biaxial fabric products should be stored in a dry, cool and moisture proof area. Best used within 12 months after production date. They should remain in their original packaging until just prior to use. The products are suitable for delivery by the way of ship, train, or truck.
